Moody ‘N Cheeky on Jazeera Airways Inflight Magazine

22 Feb

A month ago we were contacted by Jazeera Airways agency that are in charge of their Inflight Magazine as they picked us to be part of their “I Heart Kuwait” series that was published this month as part of the National & Liberation day celebration. We were asked to pick a place that we like to go to in Kuwait and where else would we chose other than the fun and exciting “Shooting Range” :D

It was our first time to be featured in a magazine, and since then people started unexpectedly calling us after they have seen the magazine! Its weird in a way or another but we did enjoy it :) and now we are taking this chance to share it with you, simply because we DO heart Kuwait, we heart our blog and we heart our readers :D

If you are asking why did we chose the shooting range, well if you didn’t go there before they wouldn’t probably know what kind of thrill you are missing! It’s such an amazing place to let off some stress and forget about your hectic day and issues. Holding a real gun is definitely not like how you imagined it would be or as you see it in movies, its heavy and it’s not easy to just aim and shoot (that’s ofourse if you wanna hit the target properly :P).

First time I took Cheeky to this place she didn’t show any excitement, she was complaining that she would probably get a headache even before we enter! However, her face expressions changed 180 degrees after she was done, she was excited, thrilled and wanted to do it again! now that’s more like it ;)

One thing I have noticed every time i go there is that guys SUCK! sorry guys but you do (unless you are an exception :P) I see them leaving the range with their paper that has more than 20 holes and non of them is even close to the 7 circle! seriously guys?

We should set a day where we all bloggers hit the place and start shooting! maybe we can have a competition of the best shooting blogger :P how about that? hit me back with your opinion and maybe we can arrange something.

We would like to thank Jazeera Airways for communicating with us, we appreciate your support :)

Bayan’s Bloggers Dinner at Melenzane

19 Feb

We were invited by Bayan Dental last week for a private bloggers dinner at Melenzane. I was very happy for such invitation for many reasons, first it was finally the time to meet the people behind Bayan that always communicate with us! secondly, I have never been to Melenzane! thirdly, of course who would say no to such fun people to hangout with ;)

Anyway back to the subject, we got to Melenzane and it was almost full! I think that says a lot about the event when you invite a lot of people and most of them end up showing, it means we like u :P So we sat down and started chitchating, whether am gossiping with Dudette and telling her to stop complaining about weight loss, or catching up with Jacqui on the latest gadgets (LOVED THE POLAROID) :p It’s always cool to sit with such people.

As i said ive never been to Melenzane before so i had no idea what to expect, I just knew that I love italian food! we were greeted very warmly by Bayan and the people behind Melenzane, picked our main course and the food started flowing on tables! I had to change seats and sit outside with my buddy The Side Talker but am very happy that I did as the weather was amazing. Here’s what my camera managed to catch:

Casa Caesar Chicken

Goat Cheese Salad

Shrimps

Bruschetta Ragu

Pasta with Zumano cream salsa

What did I think of the food? it was great! a bit too saucy but that’s okay :)

Now all i can say is THANK YOU Bayan for such a sweet invitation that had no other intentions or hidden agendas :P thank you for thinking of us and just gathering us to get to know more about us! Thank you Rama for being your sweet self and thank you Yasmeen for being there and making sure everyone was satisfied and for the small chitchats :)

A big thank you also goes out to the people behind Melenzane, thank you for the hospitality, the great food and the high spirit, you guys have done a great job keeping up with everyone and serving this amount of people in such a short while, you guys are great :)

Event: Ruby Tuesday’s Bloggers Dinner

13 Feb

Last week we were invited by Ruby Tuesday for a warm dinner night for the bloggers. I used to go to Ruby Tuesday long time ago when it used to be more quiet, lately I stopped specially since they closed down the outside seating area at their Sharq branch. But that doesn’t change the fact that I have some favourite dishes (specially their mini burgers and fries) and I was happy to attend their Ribs special dish.

The event was cool, all bloggers where sitting on a big table chit chatting and enjoying the food :) We were served with appetizers, soup, salad bar and the Ribs, their new special dish.

Now lets me tell you something, if you are a fan of big meals of MEAT then this is the right dish for you :D my meal was really good, but my friend’s meal had a bit of fat in it, but overall it was good, I think it’s a guys dish :P

A big thank you for Ruby Tuesday and specially for Nancy who organized this event and her sweet welcoming :)

Help: Save Baby Fahad

8 Feb

A couple of months ago, there was a case of a boy named Abdulkareem who needed urgent help to save him from losing his leg. Us and our fellow bloggers spread the word around the place to find someone who can donate a certain amount of money for his travel and operation expenses, luckily many people came ahead to help and he was saved.

Today we have a new case that’s worth your attention and help. Fahad (11 months old) is Syrian boy who was diagnosed with leukemia and needs a marrow transplant urgently. A donor for his case was found, but sadly the whole operation and the traveling cost would be around 37,000KD. His family does not have that kind of money.

We are taking this chance to ask YOU and for you to ask EVERYONE you know that could help in any way! This is a matter of life and death and you don’t really know the power of social media and word of mouth. Please spread the word as much as possible, this kid can live a happy life with a bit of help.

If you have any idea on how to help Fahad, please don’t hesitate to contact us on our email (moodyncheeky@gmail.com) and we will make sure to pass it to the right person, a medical report of Fahad’s case is also available if needed.

Chay & Haleeb Cake from Crumbs

7 Feb

Crumbs has come up with a new flavour for their cake of the month. Chay & Haleeb is more like a traditional flavour specially for winter along with a cup of tea or coffee! We all know how we tend to eat more of these flavours in winter don’t you :P February is also the month where Kuwait celebrate its national and independence day, whats more traditional than that :D

I’m not a big fan of pound cakes, but this one isn’t like any other boring pound cake. It’s a mixture of  orange and cardamom, baked with a swirl of crumbled rahash in it’s center. What I loved about it is that it’s not too sweet and for me it was perfect to have also in the morning!

Give yourself a treat and head to Crumbs and grab yours before it’s too late! this offer is only available in february :)
