so i am doing a challenge that starts today – the hundred days of paleo!
this is a challenge that i am setting for myself as i have become super lazy and crappy with my food
below is a short brief on what the challenge entails…
does anyone else want to join me? :D

- Protein Options:
- Lean or Grass Fed Beef, wild game meat, lean pork, fish, seafood, eggs, poultry, lean sausage.
- If grass fed meat is not available choose lean cuts of traditionally raised beef.
- 1 egg = 1 ounce of protein
- NO soy or legumes (beans)!!
- Lean or Grass Fed Beef, wild game meat, lean pork, fish, seafood, eggs, poultry, lean sausage.
- Fruit Options: (1 serving per day)
- Fresh seasonal fruit
- Frozen, unsweetened fruit
- NO canned fruit, fruit juices, fruit sauces, dried fruit, sweetened fruit
- Vegetable Options: (can be cooked or raw)
- Leafy greens (Kale, spinach, romaine, mixed greens, etc.), cauliflower, broccoli, cucumber, zucchini, mushrooms, peppers, onions, brussel sprouts, asparagus, eggplant, tomatoes, green beans, jicama, carrots, spaghetti squash, etc.
- NO corn, potatoes, yams, rutabaga, peas, winter squash (acorn, butternut, pumpkin, etc), beets, or other starchy vegetables (unless on a workout day)
- Post Workout/Training Carbohydrate Options:
- Sweet Potatoes, yams, winter squash (acorn, butternut, pumpkin), beets, rutabaga, white potatoes – with skin/peel removed
- Fat Options:
- Avocado, Coconut oil, Olive oil, Nuts (Macadamias, Walnuts, Almonds, Brazil Nuts, Hazelnuts, Cashews, Pistachios), Olives, Unsweetened Coconut milk, Unsweetened Coconut
- 1 Fat Equivalent = 1 Tablespoon of Oil, ½ avocado, 1/3 cup unsweetened, full fat, canned coconut milk, 2-3 Tablespoons of nuts or unsweetened coconut, 12-16 medium olives, 1 T Almond butter, sunbutter or any nut butter other than peanut, 3 strips bacon
- NO Peanuts or Soynuts
- Cheat Meals:
- Enjoy 1 meal per week to indulge :D
This time its serious – just to challenge myself and see if i can do it :D
