We went to Tatami last week while cheeky was in the country. We always have to go to a Japanese restaurant, and because we have heard so much about this new place, we decided lets go there for a change.
The place is located in Sharq, Shayma Tower, which was very easy to find. The decoration from the outside and inside made it very cozy and relaxing. We were there at 1 pm and only 2 tables were taken, after that people started coming in.
Our order was as the following:
Tatami Kani Salad, which was full of ginger and surprisingly tasted good! I don’t like ginger much but gave it this spicy taste which was good!
The one and only edamami with spicy mayo on the side, this will always be the best dish of all.
Sweet Chili Shrimp, I love everything that has to do with shrimp! In this dish the shrimp was dipped into sweet chili sauce that was just good.
The Maki: Golden Dragon, Crispy Almond Roll, and I forgot the name of the 3rd one but it was full of crab.
A sashimi order plus a rice bowl. I didn’t try the sashimi cuz I don’t really like it, and the rice was kinda tasteless.
Overall, the food was good, the cost was fine, but I enjoyed the atmosphere the most, though I don’t know how it would be like when it’s packed!
